My dear old Dad is 82 this month & was in the first wave of D-Day landings. He was with The Royal Siganals & attached to the Canadian forces who landed on Juno (Nan Sector ,I think)His name is Cliff Brisley.
Enemy aircraft bombed the beach & he was crushed in the trench, but he was lucky & survived (many didn't in his Corps)
I am having a small family party at home -6th June to honour him & have prepared a folder of memories taken from 'Signals' website / D-Day websites etc...
Just thought I'd let you know ,in case anyone else wants to do the same for a Parent/relative/pal

Hi All,
Been looking at the site for long time, along with the Singapore memories and looking forward to the reunion in June, however, also trawling the Signals sites to try and locate an old friend and wife who are Brian (Yakker) and Pat Aldridge, served at 18 Sigs (61-63), 28 Sigs(63-68),and then both of us at seperate TA units in UK, Anyone with knowledge of the whereabouts of Yakker then I would be obliged of his address/contact.

I am looking for Moss Helliwell (Bradford) ex 601 Signal Troop, 249 Sign Sqd and 208 Sign Sqd, Dick Baxter (Sutton Coalfield) ex 601 Signal troop and 208 Sig Sqd. Jim Lucas ex 208, ex AAJLR and who could have made F of Sigs eventually.

We are having a small reunion in early June of ex 208 people and we would like them to attend.

Hello to all former Denbury Boys and Staff

I have just joined the site and hope to get in touch with those who served at Denbury with 6 (Boys) Training Regiment and the Junior Leaders Regiment from 19 Sep 55 to the Disbandment Parade 10 Aug 67

A Grand Reunion is being held at Newton Abbot over the weekend 17/18 Sep 05 to celebrate the 50th anniversery of Royal Signals Boy Soldiers arrival at Denbury Camp

Hopefully you will join us sooner the next reunions are at York on 21 May 04 and in Newton Abbot on 11 Sep 04 so please get in touch for further details
