Greetings.I wonder if anyone can give me some info on my dad, Douglas Edwards. He served in the Royal Signals from 1938 until around 1952. He was posted to Rawalpindi in 1939 as a signaller, and I beleive subsequently ended up as an RSM. He came from the Wimbledon area. As most of his side of the family are now dead, I would be really grateful for any info.thanks.....Dave

Does anyone remember or have any information on my grandad who served with the Royal Signals at home and Farelf during the period 25 Oct 48 to 10 Nov 52. His name was Terence Caton (Terry), rank: signalman, army trade: despatch rider.

Could I please once again ask you all to add at least one of your postings to the Database if you want to be found. Otherwise your name will not appear there and no one will be able to find you. :+ Make our job worthwhile add one posting at least.

Just found this site, and i wont loose it. what a great place to look at. I was a third class opperator and passed at catterick in 1952 then went to Germany, a place called LEMGO.we were a air support unit, i am now 69, it was a few years ago so I can't remember many names, but I still remember the morse code. When we joined we were given our uniforms and PT kit one white shirt and a red vest. The red vest my Grandson wears it now and again, it has faded but it is still in good condition. next year I want to get to Blandford to the museum. I lived in Birmingham when I did my National Service.

I served in the Corps from Oct. 1962 to April 1972. My units were 224 Sig. Sqn. (1963). 225 Sig. Sqn. (1963 to 1967). 9th Signal Regt. (1967 to 1970). 30th Signal Regt. (1970 to 1972). I look forward to hearing from anyone who remembers me from those great days. I am particularly interested in contacting Phil Willicott an Aussie who seems to have disappeared off the face of this Earth. Congrats. to the webmaster and assistants of this site for doing a great job.
