LAUNDER, Brian

I first met Brian when I was on the 1968 White Helmets selection course. He was a brilliant display and cross country rider. At the 1970 Royal Tournament at Earls Court we met up with Trish and Carole, girls we had previously met at the 1969 Tyneside Exhibition. To cut a long story short I married Trish and Brian married Carole. Our two families became very close and went on numerous holidays together.

Brian was a lovely man who loved to have fun, was generous of heart and quick witted. He loved his children and grand children dearly. His greatest love was Carole and his favourite pastime was golf and favourite music was anything by Pink Floyd. From the age of 16 he had a passion for motorbikes which never left him and he justloved going for rides around the Yorkshire dales on his Triumph Bonneville, which he has kept in an immaculate condition.

His passing has left a great hole in the lives of all those who knew him and he will be sadly missed.
