Andrew (Paddy) Bogle
I came across your site and would like to remember my father who served 1939 to 1949 when he was invalided out of the Corps having received serious injuries to both hands and feet whilst on exercise near Hohne, Germany. He died in 1965 of a heart attack.
He was born in Strabane Ireland 1919 and was stationed in Catterick, W Germany (Hohne), Eritrea, France mostly during WWII. He was an operator wireless and line.
I followed his footsteps with 9 years in the Corps 1962-1971 23878910 Cpl Bogle, Comcen and Cipher. Served in Germany (Gutersloh, Dusseldorf) Aden, Bulford, UN Cyprus, British Honduras and then W Germany.
I doubt if there are people who would still be with us that would remember him such as Sergt Paddy Milligan from Dublin.
He was always very proud of serving in the Corps and had a circle of ex members who also served living in West Belfast.
Take care of yourselves
