Just to say I started off with stomach cancer back in 2010. I had 40% of my stomach removed. I got the all clear for that in Jan 2016. Then in March 2016 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and in May told that it had now gone into the bones (metastatic cancer). Then in December 2017 I was told that I had small-cell lung cancer, which is what has returned now.
The prostate cancer is at the moment being held in check with hormone treatment but is not curable.
Small-cell lung cancer is not curable either: it can be held in check for short periods (up to about a year with chemo) then you have to have another type of chemo to hold it back again, but at the moment I am not sure how many more tries they get.
So I do know that mine are both terminal, but then how long is a bit of string?
