Mrs Elliott.
Regarding your husband’s situation in 1953. I was at Catterick in 1953 in training but didn’t become operational until 1954. When I was operational it was in Egypt, but I am sure Joseph would be in the same setup as we had in Egypt but in the Far East. The setup consisted of 3 units: a Signal Centre, which handled all the passage of signals, then there was a transmitter site, 5 miles away from the Signal Centre, and also a receiving site which was located at a site about 2 miles away from the other sites. As I was active in the Signal Centre I was not familiar with members from the other 2 sites. This all might help you to locate who might have information on soldiers in Joseph’s field. Best of luck Alan Dodson.
