My late father, Colin Millward, born 1939, did his National Service in the Royal Signals but not until after he had finished his apprenticeship as an electrician.
He served in Cyprus, and I remember him telling me he did his training in Catterick presumably in the early 1960s, but I know nothing more.
Does anyone remember my late father?
He was born 7th August 1938 at Newmarket, Suffolk.

Can anyone help with pictures of the Bedford QLR? I used to drive one long ago when I was with 45th Essex Royal Signals TA. Now I am starting to build a scale model kit, and I want to get it as correct as possible!

Hi. Info please how I can get photos of Staffies courses at 11 Sigs in 1974. I can't remember which one I was on but it was in the first half of 1974. Thanks.

I have a question which I am hoping somebody will know the answer to. Throughout most of my service as a National serviceman in the fifties, the unit I was with all wore a White Lanyard as opposed to the normal Blue, the significance or the reason for this escapes me, that is if we were ever told in the first place. Any info would be much appreciated.
I was attached to the First Guard Brigade 3 division in Shorncliffe and Cyprus in 1957/59

For James Lawler
Roy, Hazel and Carol Wain were great supporters of 9 Signal Regiment theatre group in 1975/76 in Cyprus as was my wife Ruth Mortimer. I didn't know him well but I do know he was a special operator. You may well find out more if you went down the 9 Sigs route or better still Birgelin Vets route. Hope this helps
